Making it stretch...

and stretch and stretch. So Mark is quite happy that since I started doing the Grocery Game, every time Terri tells me "this is a good deal on meat, go buy"...I do. This week, I had bought some sirloin steak maxpack at $2.99/lb so we could have some nice steaks for Valentine's Day. The package cost me $16.49 and we had a lovely time eating steak that night (well, as much as I could given how sick I was). We still had quite a bit of beef leftover so today, Mark made stew in the crockpot with what we had left. So from that one package of sirloin, we had steak dinner one night, stew tonight, and we just put 2 more stew dinners into the freezer. Gotta love that!
