52:7 Confessions of an Ugly Step-Sister by Gregory MacGuire

This is the first of his works that I've read and I was very impressed. I thought it was a very good retelling and rational explanation of the old story that we are all so familiar with. After reading this one, I'm really looking forward to finishing "Wizard of Oz" and reading Wicked. I'm seriously considering using his works with the originals as study units for Christopher and eventually the other boys as a nice compare/contrast and study of how point of view makes all the difference. I think it would be interesting for the boys to see how the same story can be told twice with totally different meanings based on who you are hearing it from.
