Another party come and gone

And we all survived yet again. We had several people who weren't able to attend this party which made it much smaller than usual but I think those that were able to make it had a good time. It was actually a bit easier to mingle and chat a bit with fewer people but it was definitely nice that those who were there all helped with Nico a bit. Makes things so much easier to get some help with that child tho I have to say, while the party was on he was pretty well behaved. After, well, that's another story. LOL

From Park to Mini-Golf to Farewells. That was the story of the day. Mark had to leave on an 8:30p flight to Atlanta for work tonight. Definitely far from ideal but there was no easy way we could move the date of the party since it had been set down for 3mos and several people had already reworked their calendars for it so he made the big sacrifice and went with the red-eye out to make it all work. He also fought for (and won) a return trip on the 30th so he could be here for Matthew's birthday. Normally I would tell him to do what he has to do when it comes to work but this is one of the big birthdays, the big 1-0, hitting double digits, and well, this won't ever come again. I'm so glad he was able to make things work out for this because it really means the world to Matthew to have daddy home on his birthday and I know this is one that Mark would have been kicking himself over missing for a long time.

Thank goodness he'll be home.
