This was a slight departure from the norm as the main protagonist is not a supernatural but rather a friend of Hope's (from Personal Demon) and ends up involved in a murder mystery where the true murderer is a clairvoyant and the detective investigating is a necromancer. This one is also a little harder to follow as we end up with 4 distinct characters telling the story and we change pov with each chapter, some of which are only a few pages long. I can see how some people found it a little disjointing but I rather enjoyed trying to keep track of all the different plot lines and who knew what and when, made it more of a challenge than a straight read.
Definitely a lot of fun and I'm continuing to really enjoy this author.
