Well, at least it was tonight. And not just at my house but the entire town directly south of us as well. Never did find out what happened but El Granada and the whole mobile home park were pitch dark for about 3hrs tonight. Nico managed to bonk his head in the 2min it took me to get candles and flashlights together. Of course this happened just as I was about to start dinner so as soon as Mark got home we threw the chicken on the BBQ, threw together some salad, and made a pot of couscous on the stove. The boys played Munchkin by oil lamp and the lights came back on just in time for us to eat.
And you know, I had forgotten just how cool power outages were. No computers, no phones, just kicking it with my boys.
