Part of the World in Ancient Times series that Matthew is using for history this year. The reviews on all the books are basically going to be the same. They use a nice storytelling format that gets the important information across in a fun way for middle schoolers. It tells not only what happened but HOW we know what happened. There are a ton of pictures to show the art and culture of the period being studied. I'm enjoying the series as is Matthew and that is the most important thing. It's not a dry boring history book but one that keeps the chapters short and fun and instead of focusing on just the big events, it tries to flesh out the people who lived in that time by telling stories of the every day people as well as the kings.
