The 3rd book in what was supposed to be the Inheritance Trilogy and has now been lengthened to the Inheritance Cycle. Really, I think 2 books would have done it but stretching it out to 4.... Yeah. Again, I like the general storyline and the richness of the world but have a hard time getting gripped by the slow moving pace. Eragon is confronted by Thorn and Murtagh again and they are even stronger. He gets sent by Nasadua to to the dwarves clanmeet where they must choose a new king and that is a very long, drawn out political mess. He is finally able to go back to Oromis to ask more questions and get some information that will help him, hopefully, defeat Galboratrix but the big thing was he was able to get his own Rider's sword and finding out who his father is.
So now we get to wait even longer to even MEET the real bad guy who has been hiding in the shadows this whole time. Shades of Sauron anyone?
