104:74 Storm Front by Jim Butcher

Book 1 of the Dresden Files. Another in the urban fantasy genre that has become so popular lately. This one focuses on Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden, a wizard under suspicion by his own and a perpetually broke one at that. He has an ad in the yellow pages stating that he specializes in finding lost things and he occasionally helps out the police on crimes that don't seem to be done in an ordinary way.

I enjoyed the book. It's not a heavy read, pretty standard bubblegum for the genre. This was definitely a "get to know the characters" book so mostly introduction of the world and main players in it but nothing in the way of character growth or deep philosophical thoughts. Kind of doubt the series will do much of either but it promises some good, light reading and something I can even let my oldest read since he's always asking about the books I'm reading which are generally too adult to let him near.
